Every guest who comes to Kandler’s Shadow Farms is welcomed by the family who cares for this land. The same is true long before you arrive. When you call or write to us, you reach a person.

In a time when so much hospitality is handled by AI, we have chosen to stay close to the work. We answer the phone ourselves, and we read every message with care. We know the gravel road, the porch, the pond, and the garden, and we would rather tell you about them in our own words.

Come as you are, and ask us anything.

Perhaps you are wondering which season suits your stay, or whether the Guest House is right for your family or friends. Perhaps you simply want to hear a kind voice before you turn off the blacktop. Whatever the reason, we would be glad to hear from you.

If we are out in the garden or tending the farm when you call, leave us a message. We will return it ourselves, unhurried and with care.

When you’re ready to reserve.

Reservations are made through Airbnb or VRBO, where you can see availability, choose your dates, and book securely. Once you’ve booked, everything else is with us. The person who answers your questions, welcomes you to the farm, and cares for your stay is a member of the family, not a system.

A booking platform can hold your reservation, but it can’t welcome you. We believe the best hospitality has always been personal, and that a place meant for rest should begin with someone who is truly glad you are coming.
